3 Day Uganda Gorilla Trekking Safari

Situated in the southwestern part of Uganda, Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is natural habitat to almost half the world’s total population of the highly endangered Mountain gorillas and it is the best place to enjoy a Uganda Gorillas Trekking Safari. On his safari you will get a chance to search through dense Bwindi forest as you search for these habituated gorillas. You will be led by park ranger guides until you come face-to-face with them.

On this Safari we advice all our clients to follow the trekking guidelines offered by the park warders for purposes of conserving the gorillas as well as for your own good.

Day 2 – Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi forest

This day is going to be the highlight of our trekking safari. Early morning we shall have a quick cup of tea before transferring to the park headquarters where the park warden will brief us about the trekking guidelines.

By 8:00am you’ll set out into the forest in groups of eight people led by park rangers as well as guides. Don’t forget to wear strong hiking boots, carry a rain jacket, pack some water and a snack as well as get a walking stick. The time it will take to eventually meet the gorillas is quite unpredictable since it mainly depends on the mountain gorillas’ movement. Once you find them, you will be allowed to spend on hour in their midst observing them and taking pictures and video. Don’t miss out on the silverback – with its sheer size (approximated to weigh 350 pounds).

After wards you will head back to your accommodation to rest. There will be an optional cultural walk to the Batwa community where you will enjoy great traditional entertainment.
