Previously Uganda’s Colonial capital Entebbe is the first town that visitors on Private Uganda Holiday will step into as it host the only International airport in the country, as well as the state house – the official residence of the president of Uganda.
The quite town seats right on the shores of Lake Victoria – the largest freshwater lake on the continent, and enjoys a cool breeze blowing from the lake. it is lined by beautiful beaches lined with palm trees. There are various nice hotels, beautiful gardens, the Uganda Wildlife Zoo plus beaches which you can visit during your Tour in Entebbe.
Below is our 1 Day Entebbe Itinerary
After an early morning breakfast at your hotel, our guide from Africa Nature Trekkers will pick you up from your hotel and then drive to the beautiful Entebbe.
Morning:
You will tour through the clean Entebbe town and then head to the beautiful green Entebbe Botanical Gardens which are a sanctuary of different monkey species plus baboons, various tropical plants as well as a great profusion of birds. It’s the perfect place to enjoy a Bird Watching Tour in Uganda. You will also enjoy a relaxing walk down at the beach and there you might see some of the local fishermen casting their nets on the lake.
Lunch:
You will have your lunch at served right under the palm trees on the beach as you enjoy the cool beach breeze. The menu will include, Uganda’s local food, or intercontinental dishes including some Indian cuisines, pizza and grilled tilapia accompanied by a refreshing drink
Afternoon:
You will drive to the Uganda Wildlife Education Center – Zoo and there you will see some of the animals found in Uganda – the Pearl of Africa. Among the animals you will see are: chimpanzees, lions, baboons, Buffaloes, different Antelopes, Hippos, different types of snakes including giant pythons, Crocodiles among others. There are also different types of birds at this place. In case you wish to have some refreshments; there is a beach restaurant that offers very nice snacks and food.
Later you will transfer to Entebbe Imperial Resort Beach (this will be our final destination for this day tour), and there you will enjoy a relaxing walk in the very clean white sand on the beach, relax in the water on simply sun-bath as you enjoy the cool breeze. For those of you who would wish to enjoy a swim in the swimming pool, this option is very enjoyable. As you watch the beautiful sun set beyond the lake’s horizon, you may choose to order for your favorite drink and appreciate the gifts of Mother Nature to this dear country Uganda.
